Tunisia approves law excluding prominent presidential election candidate

Tunisia's parliament on Tuesday passed an amendment to the electoral law that will exclude leading presidential candidate Nabil Karoui from an election expected to take place this year.

The amendment restricts the activities that were permissible for would-be candidates in the 12 months before an election.
