Motor racing-Leclerc beats Hamilton to pole in Austria

Charles Leclerc put Ferrari on pole position for the Austrian Grand Prix on Saturday with Formula One leader Lewis Hamilton second fastest for Mercedes but subject to a stewards' enquiry for alleged impending.

Red Bull's Max Verstappen, last year's winner at his team's home circuit, qualified third.

The pole was Leclerc's second of the season and Ferrari's first in Austria since Michael Schumacher in 2003. Teammate Sebastian Vettel failed to set a lap time in the final top 10 shootouts after a mechanical problem.
