1 killed, 2 missing as landslide buries 10 houses in Nepal

At least one person was killed and two others went missing after landslide triggered by heavy rains buried 10 houses in western Nepal on Sunday night. The landslide triggered by incessant rainfall also left six others injured in Tamankhola Rural Municipality-4 of Baglung district. Other family members of the buried houses saved their life as they managed to escape.
The deceased has been identified as 45-year-old Santa Kumari Shripali while Ansari Shripali, 70, and his grandson 12-year-old Prabin Shripali, have gone missing in the incident, police said. The injured people have been sent to a local medical facility for treatment. Among them, the condition of one is said to be critical. Police personnel have been deployed to carry out search and rescue operation.
Floods and landslides triggered by incessant monsoon rains across Nepal have claimed over 100 lives. The rain induced disasters have affected 67 out of total 77 districts of the country.
