Paris, Aug 29 (AP) Morocco's official MAP news agency says that seven people watching a local soccer match in a southern village have died in a flash flood that swept across the football field. The flood on Wednesday forced spectators and others at the match in Tizert, in the Taroudant region, to seek shelter on nearby roofs.
MAP reported Thursday that a 17-year-old and six adults were killed, and an elderly man was injured. An official investigation has been opened.
Morocco's national weather service had warned of risks of bad weather in several regions of the country. (AP) AMS
