Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has directed officials to carry out a massive cleanliness drive in the state before the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.

A special focus of the drive would be 'mahagrams' or villages having a population above 10,000, an official statement issued here said.

Two lakh school students would be participating in the massive cleanliness drive to be carried out across the state.

The cleanliness drive in the 'mahagrams' would be carried out by the Development and Panchayats Department, the statement said.
