Police have foiled a bid to smuggle bovines and rescued 25 animals in Jammu and Kashmir's Kathua district on Wednesday, an official said.
During checking at Banyari village, police apprehended one person, Hassan Mir of Pathankot in Punjab, and rescued 25 animals, he said.
A case was registered in the matter, he added.
