FSB border patrol building on fire in southern Russia - TASS

A fire broke out at a building belonging to the border patrol section of Russia's FSB federal security service in the southern city of Rostov-on-Don on Thursday, the TASS news agency reported, citing local emergency services.

Footage from local news outlets shared on social media showed a plume of thick black smoke billowing into the air in a built-up area of the city as flames engulfed a building at ground level. Reuters was unable to immediately verify the images.

Local authorities said they had dispatched emergency services to the area, the RIA Novosti news outlet reported.
