Suspect detained after blast injures emergency responders in Germany

A suspect has been arrested after several police officers and firefighters were injured in an explosion at an apartment they had been called to in western Germany, police said on Thursday.

Police officers stormed the man's apartment after the incident in the city of Ratingen, police added, confirming a report in the Spiegel news magazine.
