One killed, another injured after fall from roof

One person was killed while another was seriously injured after the duo allegedly fell from the roof of an under construction building in the southern part of the city's Regent Park, a senior police officer said on Friday.

The two persons were consuming liquor on the roof of the building and allegedly fell down from there on Thursday evening, the officer said.

''One was declared brought dead while the other is being treated at the MR Bangur Hospital. We are trying to find out whether the fall were accidental or there are some other angles in it or not,'' he said.

Proloy Biswas (23) was declared brought dead while Amit Nayek (23) is undergoing treatment at the M R Bangur Hospital.

Initial probe revealed that the duo had an altercation before they fell down, the officer added.
