Mexico, Guatemala beef up borders after Title 42 expiry, US official says

Mexico and Guatemala have been "deploying large numbers of military personnel" to their southern borders since U.S. Title 42 curbs on migrant crossings at the U.S.-Mexico border expired last week, U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) official Blas Nunez-Neto told reporters on Monday.

Nunez-Neto also said that immigration authorities have returned hundreds of people to Mexico since Title 42 expired.
