68-year-old man found dead inside house in Rajasthan's Barmer

A 68-year-old man was killed allegedly by unidentified assailants in Rajasthan's Barmer district on Tuesday, police said.

Aam Singh was sleeping in his farmhouse in Siwana area when the accused entered the premises and allegedly attacked him with sharp-edged weapons early morning, they said.

The murder came to light when his son arrived at the farmhouse and found the body.

Aam Singh's daughter-in-law is the sarpanch of Meethoda village. Station House Officer of Siwana police station Nathu Singh said Aam Singh lived alone while his son resides in a house nearby.

He said the family members have refused to accept the body and demanded that the assailants be arrested.
