West Africa regional bloc condemns barracks attack in Sierra Leone

West Africa's regional bloc, the Economic Community of West African States, on Sunday condemned the attempt by certain individuals to "acquire arms and disturb constitutional order" in Sierra Leone, it said in a statement.

The government in Sierra Leone on Sunday declared a nationwide curfew after unidentified gunmen attacked a military barracks and attempted to break into an armoury in the capital, Freetown.
