China cluster of flu cases under effective control -China's foreign minister

A recent increase in respiratory illnesses in China is a common issue that all countries face and Chinese authorities have it under effective control, China's Foreign Minister Wang Yi said on Wednesday. Wang made the comment to reporters at the United Nations in New York where he is chairing a U.N. Security Council session on the Israel-Hamas issue.

The World Health Organization (WHO) last week requested China provide detailed information on an increase in respiratory illnesses and reported clusters of pneumonia in children.
