Nigeria criticises ECOWAS exit move by Niger, Burkina Faso, and Mali juntas

Nigeria's foreign ministry on Monday said the military authorities in Niger, Burkina Faso and Mali were not acting in good faith with their joint decision to quit the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).
Nigeria, which is the current chair of the regional political and economic bloc, was commenting in a statement for the first time after the three junta-led countries announced the move on Sunday.
