Hardcore Criminal Detained Under PSA, Properties of Narcotic Kingpin Seized

Kulbir Bhagat, a notorious criminal from Jammu, was detained under the Public Safety Act for his persistent criminal activities. Concurrently, police attached three properties of alleged drug kingpin Chirag Attri in Bishnah. These assets, valued over Rs two crore, were suspected to be acquired through illicit narcotic trafficking.

Kulbir Bhagat, a notorious criminal from Miran Sahib's Langotian, was detained under the stringent Public Safety Act (PSA) on Monday, following orders by the District Magistrate of Jammu. Bhagat's continuous involvement in organized crime posed a significant threat to public peace and order, according to a police spokesperson.

The accused did not refrain from criminal activities despite multiple FIRs registered against him across various police stations in Sub Division R S Pura. His persistent unlawful actions, despite several arrests, necessitated severe measures under PSA.

In a separate action, police seized three properties belonging to alleged drug kingpin Chirag Attri in Bishnah. Valued over Rs two crore, the assets were linked to proceeds from illicit drug trafficking and attached under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Several NDPS cases have been previously filed against Attri, who is now detained under PIT NDPS.
