Bribery Scandal in Rajasthan: Top Officials Arrested in Major Sting Operation
Three senior officials, including two project directors from the Rajasthan State Road Development Corporation and a retired assistant accounts officer, were arrested by the Anti-Corruption Bureau while accepting a bribe of Rs 1.20 lakh. Massive cash recoveries were made during subsequent searches.

In a significant crackdown on corruption, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) on Monday arrested three senior officials of the Rajasthan State Road Development Corporation (RSRDC). The officials, including two project directors, were caught accepting a bribe of Rs 1.20 lakh.
Among those apprehended are Siyaram Chandrawat, an executive engineer and project director from Dholpur, Lakshman Singh, another executive engineer and project director from Bharatpur, and Mahesh Chand Gupta, a retired assistant accounts officer currently employed as a consultant.
ACB DGP Ravi Prakash Mehrada revealed that Rs 1.11 lakh in cash was seized at the spot. Additionally, a search at Gupta's residence yielded Rs 92 lakh and a cash counting machine, while Rs 32 lakh was recovered from Chandrawat's residence. Further investigations are ongoing, involving other officials such as Chief Manager Sudhir Mathur.
