Prohibitory Orders Imposed As North Kerala Prepares For Tense Vote Counting

The district administration in North Kerala has imposed prohibitory orders around the vote counting centres for the Kozhikode, Vadakara, and Wayanad Lok Sabha constituencies. Measures are effective from Monday evening to Wednesday morning. Officials warn against spreading unverified information, with stringent legal actions in place.

The district administration on Monday imposed prohibitory orders surrounding the vote counting centre for the Kozhikode and Vadakara Lok Sabha constituencies in North Kerala. Instituted on the premises of JTD Group of Institutions at Vellimadukunnu, these measures were enacted ahead of Tuesday's critical ballot count.

According to official sources, the counting of votes for both constituencies will commence at 8.00 am. Prohibitory orders are also in place at another school in Thiruvambady, under the Wayanad Lok Sabha constituency.

Effective from Monday evening until Wednesday 10.00 am, the restrictions come as District Collector Snehil Kumar Singh warns of stringent legal action against those spreading fake news about the election results. He emphasized the importance of verified information, urging social media admins to exercise caution as all platforms are under strict police surveillance.
