Security forces on Monday apprehended Aijaz Ahmad Parry, a suspected over-ground worker connected to terror activities, in Kupwara district of Jammu and Kashmir, police reported.

Parry, who hails from the Kunan Poshpura area in north Kashmir, was detained at a checkpoint in Nagri, according to a police official.

During the arrest, authorities recovered a hand grenade, a pistol with a magazine, and four rounds of 9mm ammunition, among other incriminating materials. Further investigation is currently in progress, officials added.
