In a shocking incident, Pallavi Sharma, a 35-year-old beautician, was injured and remains unconscious after being allegedly shot by two motorcycle-borne assailants on Dwarka Expressway, police reported on Saturday.

The incident occurred at approximately 9.20 pm on Friday near a petrol pump. Sharma, a resident of Riddhi-Siddhi Society in Sector 102, was running errands on her scooty when she was attacked. The police have arrested four individuals, including a lawyer and two shooters, in connection with the case.

Nitish Bhardwaj, a lawyer from Vishnu Garden, is identified as the prime accused. Bhardwaj confessed that he initially met Sharma when she filed an assault case against her husband. Their relationship turned sour, leading Bhardwaj to allegedly orchestrate her murder after she reportedly harassed him. Other suspects include Gulshan, who allegedly provided a motorcycle and weapons to the shooters, Raja and Bunty, who executed the attack.

According to the police, as Sharma approached the petrol pump, Raja and Bunty attacked her from behind on a motorcycle, with Raja firing the shot that caused her to fall off her scooty. The bullet passed through her waist and exited her stomach. Cab drivers rushed her to a nearby private hospital, where she remains unconscious. Her father, Rajkumar Sharma, expressed his disbelief about any rivalries his daughter might have had. An FIR has been registered under sections 307 (attempt to murder), 34 (common intention) of the IPC, and the Arms Act at Rajendra Park police station.
