In a harrowing incident on Saturday, two members of Pakistan's minority Ahmadi community were shot dead by alleged radical Islamist group members in Punjab province, according to police reports.

Ghulam Sarwar, 62, was gunned down after offering Zuhr (afternoon) prayers at an Ahmadiyya place of worship in Mandi Bahauddin district, roughly 250 kms from Lahore.

In a separate attack, Rahat Ahmad Bajwa, 30, was fatally shot upon returning from his catering center by a 17-year-old seminary student, now identified as Syed Ali Raza, who has confessed to the crime citing religious motivations. Raza was affiliated with the Tehreek-e-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP).
