Constable Killed by Illegal Sand Tractor in Bihar

A constable named Deepak Kumar was killed by a tractor transporting illegal sand in Bihar's Aurangabad district. The incident occurred while Kumar was on duty at Musepur Khaira village. The driver fled the scene, but the tractor's owner has been apprehended, with a manhunt launched for the driver.

A tragic incident unfolded in Bihar’s Aurangabad district when a constable on duty, Deepak Kumar, was fatally run over by a tractor illegally transporting sand, police reported.

The 29-year-old officer, stationed at Musepur Khaira village under the Daudnagar police station's jurisdiction, attempted to halt the suspect vehicle around 4 am. The driver, however, refused to stop, leading to the fatal collision.

Aurangabad SP Swapna Gautam Meshram disclosed that the tractor has been confiscated and its owner detained. Efforts are underway to locate and apprehend the driver, with authorities determined to bring all involved to justice. The incident mirrors a similar case from November 2023 in Jamui district.
