Lt Governor Vows Justice After Deadly Terrorist Attack on Pilgrims' Bus

Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha condemned a terrorist attack on a bus in Reasi district, killing nine and injuring 41. The incident was part of a plot to spread chaos in the region. Authorities are conducting a joint operation to apprehend the perpetrators, offering ex-gratia support to victims' families.

In the wake of a tragic event, Jammu and Kashmir Lt Governor Manoj Sinha has condemned a terrorist attack targeting a bus in Reasi district, which resulted in nine fatalities and injuries to 41 others.

The bus, en route from Shiv Khori temple to Katra, was ambushed by terrorists, causing it to veer off the road and plunge into a deep gorge near Teryath village. Lt Governor Sinha, who visited the injured at Government Medical College, assured that those responsible would be brought to justice through a joint police, CRPF, and Army operation.

'Our immediate priority is saving the lives of the injured,' Sinha said, adding that the administration has provided Rs 10 lakh each for families of the deceased and Rs 50,000 for the injured. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Minister Amit Shah are closely monitoring the situation. Sinha also plans to visit Narayan hospital to check on the injured in Katra area.
