Mohd Azam Khan Cleared in 8-Year-Old Loot and Violence Case

A Rampur court exonerated senior Samajwadi Party leader Mohd Azam Khan of charges of loot and violence in a Dungarpur case from eight years ago. The court, citing lack of evidence, acquitted him alongside five others. This judgement affects four of the 12 cases registered against him.

A Rampur court on Monday exonerated senior Samajwadi Party leader Mohd Azam Khan from a case involving alleged loot and coercive violence in the Dungarpur area dating back to 2016.

Judge Vijay Kumar, presiding over the MP-MLA court, cleared Khan and five other co-accused due to insufficient evidence, according to Khan's lawyer, Jubair Ahmad.

The court's decision impacts four out of the 12 cases registered with Ganj police station; Khan received exoneration in two and was convicted in the other two.
