CBI Seeks Interpol Red Notice for Trio in Human Trafficking Scheme

The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) is pursuing an Interpol Red Notice against three individuals accused of running a human trafficking network, which misled Indians into the Russia-Ukraine war with false job promises in Moscow, officials announced on Tuesday.

The agency intends to detain suspected hawala operator Ramesh Kumar Palanisamy, Mohammad Moinuddin Chippa, and Faisal Abdul Mutalib Khan for further interrogation to unmask the full extent of the conspiracy. The trio, currently believed to be in Russia and the UAE, faces extradition demands.

An Interpol Red Notice serves as a global request for law enforcement to locate and provisionally arrest an individual pending extradition or similar legal actions. Through this notice, the CBI aims to bring the suspects back to India to face legal proceedings and assist in the ongoing investigation.
