Security Forces Engage in Intense Gunfights in Jammu & Kashmir

Three security personnel were injured in a firefight in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district. Another terror incident in Kathua saw a Pakistani terrorist killed and a civilian injured. Security forces are currently conducting intensive operations to track down remaining terrorists in the region.

Three security personnel have sustained injuries in a fierce exchange of gunfire between terrorists and security forces in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district, following an attack on a joint checkpost, officials reported on Wednesday.

In a separate incident, police and security teams are engaged in an operation to apprehend a terrorist hiding in Saida Sukhal village in Kathua district. Security forces neutralized a suspected Pakistani terrorist after extremists launched an attack on a village near the International Border (IB) on Tuesday evening, resulting in civilian injuries.

In Doda, terrorists targeted a joint checkpost of the 4 Rashtriya Rifles and police along the Bhadarwah-Pathankot road on Tuesday night. Three security personnel were hospitalized. Reinforcements have been dispatched to intensify the ongoing operation.
