U.S. Envoy Kritenbrink's Hanoi Visit Highlights Commitment to Indo-Pacific

U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Daniel Kritenbrink will visit Hanoi to emphasize America's commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific region. His trip aims to reinforce U.S. support for Vietnam's independence and prosperity while discussing objectives for upcoming ASEAN-related ministerial meetings.

U.S. Assistant Secretary of State Daniel Kritenbrink will travel to Hanoi on Friday and Saturday to underscore the U.S. commitment to a free and open Indo-Pacific region, the State Department said.

The envoy for East Asian and Pacific affairs "will also reaffirm the United States’ support for a strong, independent, resilient, and prosperous Vietnam and discuss shared objectives for next month’s ASEAN-related ministerial meetings," it said in a statement on Thursday.
