Truth Triumphs: Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal Granted Bail in Money Laundering Case

Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann praised the court's decision to grant bail to AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal in a money laundering case tied to an alleged excise scam. Special Judge Niyay Bindu granted bail on a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh, rejecting the ED's request to stay the order for 48 hours.

In a testimony to the principle that 'truth triumphs,' Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann commended the court's ruling on Thursday which saw Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal granted bail in a money laundering case.

The case stems from an alleged excise scam, and the decision was made by Special Judge Niyay Bindu, who provided relief to Kejriwal on a personal bond of Rs 1 lakh. Requests from the Enforcement Directorate (ED) to delay the order for 48 hours were declined.

The verdict followed a detailed hearing where arguments from both the prosecution and the defence were thoroughly considered.
