Man Arrested for Horrific Crime in Chitrakoot

A 22-year-old man has been arrested in Chitrakoot for allegedly raping his one-and-half-year-old niece. The incident occurred when the girl's father was out distributing wedding invitation cards. The victim is receiving treatment at a local government hospital.

A 22-year-old man was taken into custody on Sunday by Chitrakoot district police on charges of raping his one-and-half-year-old niece.

Additional Superintendent of Police, Chakrapani Tripathi, reported that the crime took place while the girl's father was distributing wedding invitation cards for his elder son's matrimonial ceremony.

The man allegedly took the infant to a desolate area where the horrific act occurred. Authorities apprehended the suspect following a prompt investigation. Meanwhile, the young victim has been admitted to a district government hospital for medical care.
