The National Investigation Agency (NIA) escalated its efforts on Wednesday to capture Canada-based terrorist Goldy Brar by announcing a Rs 10 lakh reward for information leading to his arrest. The reward also applies to another accused in an extortion and firing case in Chandigarh.
The case dates back to March 8, involving a firing incident at a businessman's house as part of an extortion attempt. A statement from the NIA revealed that multiple charges have been filed against the accused under sections of the Indian Penal Code, Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, and the Arms Act.
Key suspects include Satwinder Singh, alias Goldy Brar, and Gurpreet Singh, alias Goldy Dhillon. The NIA has assured that the identity of informants will be kept confidential. Informants can provide information through the NIA headquarters' phone number, WhatsApp, or email IDs provided.
