NIA Raids in Rajouri: Unveiling Terrorist Overground Networks

The National Investigation Agency conducted searches at multiple locations in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir, related to the Reasi terror attack case. The raids led to the seizure of items linking terrorists with overground workers. Investigations continue to unravel the terror conspiracy.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) intensified its crackdown on terrorist activities in Jammu and Kashmir's Rajouri district on Sunday, conducting thorough searches in relation to the Reasi terror attack case.

According to an NIA statement, the operation unearthed several items that established connections between the terrorists and overground workers (OGWs). This significant find came after terrorists opened fire on a bus transporting 'yatris' from Shiv Khori to Katra, leading to a tragic accident on June 9 in Reasi district that resulted in nine fatalities, including a child.

After taking over the investigation on June 15, the NIA targeted five locations linked with hybrid terrorists and OGWs, as identified by arrested suspect Hakam Khan alias Hakin Din. Hakam was found to have offered safe shelter, logistical support, and food to the terrorists. The probe agency now delves into the seized material to dismantle the terror network.
