DGP Swain: Jammu and Kashmir Security Under Control

Jammu and Kashmir DGP R R Swain affirmed that law enforcement has strong control over the region's security, with reduced fear levels compared to the past. Swain highlighted the organised operations and coordination among police, paramilitary forces, and the Army, while addressing ongoing challenges like infiltration and support for terrorism.

Jammu and Kashmir Director General of Police (DGP) R R Swain asserted that law enforcement and security forces have firm control over the Union Territory's security situation.

Swain noted that the fear is significantly less compared to three-four years ago, emphasising that the law-and-order situation has improved, as shown by the successful Lok Sabha polls.

"The truth is that even now, law enforcement and security forces have control and the upper hand in the security situation in Jammu and Kashmir. Pressure is being maintained on the terror ecosystem to ensure orderliness," Swain told reporters.
