Gym Owner Stabbed to Death in Northeast Delhi's Bhajanpura

A 28-year-old gym owner, Sumit Chaudhary, was stabbed to death by a group of men in Bhajanpura, northeast Delhi. The attack occurred outside his home following a spat with three to four men. Chaudhary, who was also involved in a tour and travel business, sustained more than 21 stab wounds.

A 28-year-old gym owner was fatally stabbed by a group of men in northeast Delhi's Bhajanpura area, according to police on Thursday.

The victim, Sumit Chaudhary, also managed a tour and travel business. He was attacked outside his residence in Gamri Extension late Wednesday night, the police disclosed.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (North East) Joy Tirkey stated that Chaudhary was seated outside his home when an altercation with three to four men escalated. The attackers stabbed him multiple times in the face, neck, chest, and abdomen. The victim sustained over 21 stab wounds on his face.

Chaudhary was transported to JPC Hospital, where he was declared dead upon arrival. He had been previously convicted in an attempted murder case and was out on bail at the time, said the DCP.

Police are reviewing CCTV footage to identify the culprits.

Chaudhary leaves behind his wife and a three-year-old son.
