Angolan Woman Arrested with Rs 7 Crore Worth Cocaine at IGI Airport
An Angolan woman was apprehended at Indira Gandhi International Airport after ingesting 34 cocaine capsules valued at Rs 7 crore. Seized by customs officials, she was taken to Safdarjung hospital where the drugs were extracted. Additionally, an Indian man faced arrest for smuggling Rs 1.2 crore worth marijuana.

An Angolan woman, who had ingested 34 cocaine capsules worth Rs 7 crore, was apprehended by customs officials at Indira Gandhi International Airport, a statement revealed Thursday.
The suspect was detained upon arrival from Doha on July 2. During a personal search, eight oval-shaped capsules were found. She admitted to ingesting narcotics capsules and was taken to Safdarjung hospital for medical procedures.
Over her stay, 34 capsules were recovered, yielding 515 grams of cocaine valued at Rs 7.04 crore. She was arrested and the drugs seized. In a separate incident, an Indian man was arrested for smuggling Rs 1.2 crore worth marijuana from Bangkok, via Sharjah, on July 6. He was also detained and his contraband confiscated.
