A 27-year-old man was shot dead in northwest Delhi, police confirmed on Thursday.

The victim, identified as Kashif, was found with bullet injuries in the Adarsh Nagar area. Authorities received a call at 9.45 pm regarding the incident.

"A team was dispatched to the location, and the injured individual was immediately taken to a nearby hospital," stated a senior police officer. Kashif was pronounced dead by the doctors.

Police have detained one suspect and commenced further investigations. It was revealed that the victim frequently posted photos with weapons on social media and claimed gang affiliations.
