The Regional Transport Office (RTO) in Pune has issued a notice to a private company, owner of an Audi car used by probationary IAS officer Puja Khedkar, for the illegal installation of a red beacon light and unauthorized use of 'Maharashtra Government' tags.
Action was initiated against the company on Thursday after the vehicle's details surfaced, prompting the RTO to demand the car's immediate inspection. Khedkar's controversial use of the vehicle came to light following her demands for preferential treatment during her Pune posting.
Transferred to Washim district, Khedkar finds herself under scrutiny not just for her conduct but also for alleged misuse of disability and OBC quotas for her IAS entry. The Centre has now formed a committee to probe her candidature and related claims.
