Woman Allegedly Gang-Raped at Divyang School in Uttar Pradesh's Barabanki

A 26-year-old mentally-challenged woman was allegedly gang-raped by three individuals, including the school's president, in a village in Uttar Pradesh's Barabanki district. The incident occurred in April, and the victim has since been missing. The accused have been arrested as investigations continue.

A 26-year-old mentally-challenged woman was reportedly gang-raped by three individuals, including the school’s president, in Barabanki district, Uttar Pradesh, authorities stated on Friday.

The incident, which took place in April at a Divyang school in Narendrapur village, left the victim missing since then. Those arrested include the school's president Rajesh Ratnakar, former guard Ram Kailash, and Amrita, an employee at the school.

Barabanki Superintendent of Police Dinesh Kumar Singh confirmed the arrests, adding that efforts are underway to locate the missing woman. The case was initiated based on a complaint lodged by school director, Sunita Devi.
