Delhi Police Debunks Fake Terror Attack Videos on Social Media

Delhi Police have clarified that two videos circulating on social media, purportedly showing a terror attack on a gurdwara, are fake. The videos, which depict a pickup truck hitting people outside what looks like a gurdwara, are being spread with malicious intent. Legal action may follow.

Delhi Police debunked the authenticity of two videos circulating on social media, claiming to show a terrorist attack on a gurdwara, on Friday.

Officials confirmed that the videos are not from any religious site in Delhi. The videos, each around two minutes long, show a pickup truck chasing and hitting individuals outside what appears to be a gurdwara, followed by angry people assaulting the driver.

Police stated via their official account on X, 'Some videos are being circulated on social media handles claiming that it was a terrorist attack at Gurdwara Sis Ganj Sahib. These videos are completely false and are being propagated with some malicious intent, on which legal action is being taken.' A police officer indicated that spreading fake news could lead to legal consequences.
