Emily Ruiz, 30, passed away on Tuesday due to injuries sustained in the incident at a park on Manhattan's Lower East Side. Police made the announcement on Thursday.
Initially, three victims were declared dead and several others were injured in the aftermath of the crash.
Daniel Hyden, 44, of Monmouth, New Jersey, has been charged with numerous offenses, including aggravated vehicular homicide, assault, manslaughter, and driving while intoxicated.
Tim Pruitt, an attorney with the Legal Aid Society representing Hyden, stated that Hyden “is entitled to the presumption of innocence and a zealous defense”.
