Man Arrested for Alleged Rape and Online Exploitation

A 27-year-old man named Wasim was arrested for allegedly raping and sexually exploiting two women in Jhalawar. The victims, aged 19 and 23, reported the incidents, which occurred two years ago. Videos of the acts were recently uploaded online using a fake ID. An FIR was registered, and efforts are underway to find the uploader.

A 27-year-old man, Wasim, has been arrested for allegedly raping and sexually exploiting two women in separate incidents, the police reported on Saturday. The alleged crimes took place two years ago in Jhalawar.

The victims, aged 19 and 23, came forward on Friday, accusing Wasim of sexual exploitation and rape. Additionally, videos of the acts were recently uploaded online using a fake ID.

The 23-year-old woman claimed Wasim raped her multiple times over an eight-year span, although they haven’t been in contact for two years. The 19-year-old, who was a minor at the time, made similar allegations.

The accused and the victims were neighbors. An FIR has been registered under section 376 (rape) of the Indian Penal Code, the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act (POCSO), and the SC/ST Act. Wasim is in custody, and police are attempting to trace the individual who posted the videos, according to Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Rakesh Sharma.
