The Crown Prince of Dubai, Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, has been appointed as the UAE's new minister of defence following a cabinet reshuffle. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, UAE Prime Minister, announced the changes which also include new appointments such as Alia Abdulla AlMazrouei and Sarah Al Amiri.
Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, has been named the UAE's new minister of defence as part of a significant cabinet reshuffle. The announcement was made by Dubai ruler and UAE Prime Minister Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid al-Maktoum on X.
Sheikh Hamdan, also known as Fazza, has held the position of Dubai's crown prince since 2008 and enjoys immense popularity, evidenced by his 16.4 million Instagram followers. He will also serve as one of the UAE's deputy prime ministers.
Other key appointments in the reshuffle include Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan as a deputy prime minister, Alia Abdulla AlMazrouei as minister of state for entrepreneurship, Sarah Al Amiri as minister of education, and Abdulrahman Al Awar as acting minister of higher education and scientific research.
