The Pune police have launched a manhunt for Manorama Khedkar, the mother of controversial probationary IAS officer Puja Khedkar, in connection with a land dispute case, a senior official confirmed on Monday.
Authorities have filed a first information report (FIR) against Manorama, her husband Dilip Khedkar, and five others after a video surfaced showing Manorama allegedly threatening individuals with a gun over a land dispute.
A senior officer from Pune Rural police revealed that teams have frequently visited Manorama's bungalow on Baner Road but have been unable to reach her. Her mobile phone remains switched off. Officials plan to set up an inquiry and take legal action once she is found.
