A special court in Madhoi village has handed down life sentences to three men for the murder of a Dalit man 21 years ago. The judge also levied a fine of Rs 77,000 on each of the convicted individuals, as confirmed by the prosecution lawyer.
The convicted men, identified as Narendra Yadav, Sanjay Yadav, and Roshan Rajbhar, broke into the home of brothers Manoj Kumar and Kapil Dev on March 26, 2003. According to the prosecution, the assailants shot the siblings as they slept.
Kapil Dev died immediately, while Manoj Kumar sustained severe injuries. The victims belonged to the Dalit community, emphasizing the grave nature of the crime.
