Union Tribal Affairs Minister Jual Oram commenced a three-day visit to Assam on Monday to review various central government schemes in the region.
Oram arrived at Dibrugarh airport, where he was welcomed by Assam minister Ranoj Pegu and proceeded to Sivsagar. 'Arrived in Dibrugarh, greeted by dedicated karyakartas. During his visit, Oram inaugurated a water supply scheme in Sivsagar district's Demow area and met with officials to review various central government schemes. Pegu noted that Oram inspected the Tengapani to Disangmukh dyke, a Rs 9 crore project aimed at flood protection of several gram panchayats. The minister also visited the Sivadol temple and paid tribute to tribal leader Bhimbar Deori.
