Andhra Pradesh CM Sanctions Compensation for Minor Rape Victims

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has sanctioned Rs 10 lakh to the kin of a nine-year-old gang-rape victim in Nandyal district. An additional Rs 5 lakh has been approved for a six-month-old infant girl allegedly raped in Vizianagaram district. Investigations and searches are ongoing.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has sanctioned a compensation of Rs 10 lakh to the family of a nine-year-old girl who was gang-raped in Nandyal district, according to Home Minister V Anitha.

On July 7, three boys allegedly gang-raped the minor before pushing her into the Mucchumarri Lift Irrigation Canal in Mucchumarri village. The search for her body continues as the accused change their statements daily, said Anitha.

In another case, the CM has sanctioned Rs 5 lakh for a six-month-old infant girl allegedly raped by a male relative in Vizianagaram district. The suspect, Dora, has been arrested and charged under relevant sections, police said.
