Tragic Drownings in Balrampur District: A Community Mourns

Four individuals, including a 12-year-old boy, drowned in separate incidents in Balrampur district, Uttar Pradesh. The deceased include a child, an assistant professor, and two men, one of whom is yet to be identified.

Four tragic drownings have shaken the Balrampur district in Uttar Pradesh, as confirmed by Superintendent of Police Vikas Kumar on Tuesday. Among the victims is a 12-year-old boy, Raj, from Kishunpur village, whose body was discovered after he drowned in a village pond on Monday.

In a separate incident, Shiv Narayan Sahu, a 38-year-old 'shiksha mitra' (assistant professor) from Hasangarh, died after slipping into the Rapti River while grazing buffaloes. His body was retrieved 17 hours later with the help of divers and the State Disaster Response Force.

Another victim, Rajesh Kumar of Gopalipur village, was found in a water pit at Chaukiyan village with head injuries. Lastly, an unidentified man's body was found near Bhabhar Nala in Manki Baghia village. Post-mortems are being conducted, and investigations are underway.
