A city court has granted the Enforcement Directorate (ED) three days of custody of former DMK leader Jaffer Sadiq for his alleged involvement in a money laundering case.

Principal Sessions Judge S Alli approved the ED's request, although they had initially sought a 15-day custody. Sadiq, a film producer, was arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in March for his involvement in a drug smuggling racket.

Following his arrest, the ED booked Sadiq in a money laundering case. Recently, a Delhi court granted him bail in the narcotics case.
