Yogi Adityanath Eases Resident Fears Over Kukrail River Project

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath addressed the concerns of residents in Pantnagar, Indraprasthanagar, and Rahimnagar about misleading reports of their property demolition for the Kukrail river project. He assured that only properly compensated acquisitions will occur and urged officials to clear up confusion immediately.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday allayed fears of residents in Pantnagar, Indraprasthanagar, Rahimnagar, and other areas troubled by misleading reports about the demolition of their houses for the Kukrail river project.

The government stated that properties or land parcels on the riverbed area would be acquired only after proper compensation to the owners, adhering to the rules.

The chief minister's statement follows a month of circulating rumours about property demolitions for the river project. Adityanath assured residents that accountability would be fixed, and officials were directed to visit the areas, meet the residents, and clear any confusion.
