Senior JD(S) MLA H D Revanna, in an emotional address on Tuesday, announced in the Karnataka Legislative Assembly that his son and former MP Prajwal Revanna, who faces multiple charges of sexually abusing women, should be hanged if found guilty.
Revanna also targeted the Director-General of Police, Alok Mohan, labeling him as ''unfit'' for his position. His statement stirred controversy, with members of the ruling Congress objecting and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah hinting at expunging the remarks.
Deputy Chief Minister D K Shivakumar noted that Revanna should follow proper procedures to discuss any injustices. Prajwal is under investigation by a Special Investigation Team, with allegations surfacing through explicit videos. The JD(S) has suspended Prajwal following the accusations.
