Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu met with Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi on Tuesday to seek support for Himachal Pradesh's green initiatives and tourism development. Sukhu emphasized the need for approval of Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF) loans from NABARD to fund electric buses.

The chief minister also outlined plans to generate 1,000 MW of hybrid solar and wind energy in Spiti, leveraging the Sutlej basin's solar, wind, and hydro potential. Additionally, he discussed power-related issues pending with the central government, including the restoration of rights and assets for the Shanan Project and the release of long-pending arrears from the Bhakra Beas Management Board.

Sukhu highlighted the state's tourism efforts, particularly in developing Kangra as the tourism capital, and requested central support for airport expansion and a tourism SEZ. He also sought substantial financial assistance to recover from monsoon damages. Prime Minister Modi assured him of all possible assistance. Sukhu later met Union Minister Manohar Lal Khattar to expedite the Shanan Power Project rights and pending BBMB share.
