Manoj Saunik Appointed as MahaRERA Chairman

Former Maharashtra chief secretary Manoj Saunik has been named the new chairman of the Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA). He will assume the role after the current chairman, Ajoy Mehta, retires on September 20. Saunik's appointment is aimed at boosting real estate regulation and promotion in Maharashtra.

Former Maharashtra chief secretary Manoj Saunik has been appointed as the new chairman of the Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA), according to an announcement made by the government on Tuesday.

Saunik will only be able to assume his new role after the incumbent chairman, Ajoy Mehta, retires from the position on September 20.

Notably, Saunik is married to the current Maharashtra chief secretary, Sujata Saunik. The MahaRERA was established by the state government to regulate and promote the real estate sector within the state.
